Klimt is not the end. Awakenings in Central Europe Lower Belvedere

Egon Schiele

Egon Schiele’s work still causes a sensation, even after 100 years.

In 1900, Egon Schiele dared to put on display that which is still capable of creating a sensation today: an explicit and unsparing depiction of nudity. 100 years on his works still touch a nerve, even in a seemingly enlightened society.

Egon Schiele in 3D

Gustav Klimt

The inventor of the Viennese art nouveau.

A painter and draughtsman who broke radically with representational forms, and who let art have the final word. As the principal representative of the Vienna Secession, Klimt occupied an influential position in the monarchy’s art and culture and was one of Viennese society’s most sought-after portrait painters.

Gustav Klimt 3D

Otto Wagner

The metropolitan architect

He transcended the imitation of old styles popular around 1900 and promulgated a new type of constructions more suited to the times and to the lives of modern people.

Koloman Moser

The universal artist

His work with the Wiener Werkstätte workshops facilitated the breakthrough of modern everyday items and commercial art. His unique style of illustration and typography is still often imitated today and inspires many contemporary artists.
